Three Types of Dresspack Supplier — and Where the Procurement Risk Sits

Summary: Classified by capability rather than brand ranking: the applicable boundaries and procurement risks of international brands, domestic specialist manufacturers and economy suppliers.

1. Why high/medium/low is not enough
The same supplier can perform very differently across robot models, working conditions and delivery schedules. Judging which capability the project needs — then which supplier type provides it — is more effective than a simple ranking.
2. International brands: mature systems, response boundaries
The advantages usually lie in long-term material experience, a global service network and cross-region project track record. When buying, confirm domestic local support, lead time, spares and customisation response — do not order on brand history alone.
3. Domestic specialist manufacturers: adaptation speed and verification
The value of a domestic specialist lies in its model database, fast customisation, on-site trial fitting and local service. The verification focus should be standards participation, test reports, BOM and project acceptance — not price alone. You can ask the supplier to explain how 29/36/48/70 mm bores map to the Series 1–6 structures, and the parameters of critical parts such as mounting brackets, splitters, anti-collision balls, telescopic brackets and external springs.

4. Economy suppliers: fit for light, low-frequency duty
Economy suppliers can offer a cost advantage in light-load, low-frequency, budget-limited projects. Confirm material, protection, service life and after-sales carefully — such solutions should not be carried over directly to heavy spot-welding duty or high-frequency flexing and torsion.
5. How buyers should judge which type they need
Start from robot payload, cycle time, motion frequency and the cost of downtime; then ask whether the project needs model-level CAD, on-site trial fitting and long-term spares. The higher the risk, the more you need a supplier who can provide a complete verification chain.
6. Conclusion
Supplier classification is not a ranking; it is a tool for judging procurement boundaries. Choosing a supplier who can explain model, BOM, testing and trial fitting clearly is more reliable than chasing the cheapest or the most famous option.
