How to Choose a Robotic Dresspack: The Six Series Explained

With different working conditions and different robot brands, dresspack selection often puzzles engineers. TYSEM groups all products into six series, each matched to specific applications and structural characteristics:
Series 1 · Fixed installation
The most basic structure, with the dresspack fixed at both ends. It suits short-travel, simple-path applications such as SPR riveting and simple handling. Simple to install, economical, lightweight and highly universal.
Series 2 · Rotary bracket
The bracket rotates 360°, releasing torsional stress. It suits duty with large rotations, such as gluing, painting and complex-path handling.
Series 3 · External spring
An external return spring provides large-stroke self-adaptation, suiting heavy-load, wide-range motion such as machine tending and grinding/polishing. Maintenance-free design with long life.
Series 4 · U-cavity barrel
A fully enclosed steel U-cavity, resistant to weld spatter and impact, fully sealed — designed for harsh duty such as spot welding. The first choice for automotive body-in-white lines.
Series 5 · Telescopic bracket
A telescopic stowing structure that self-adjusts within a compact space, suited to installations with limited room, such as 3C precision assembly and small robots.
Series 6 · C-flange
A quick-release C-flange structure for the fastest replacement and maintenance (under 30 minutes), suited to flexible lines with frequent changeovers.
Quick selection rules of thumb
- Harsh duty (spatter / impact) → Series 4 barrel
- Large rotation → Series 2 rotary bracket
- Long stroke / heavy load → Series 3 external spring
- Compact space → Series 5 telescopic bracket
- Frequent changeovers → Series 6 C-flange
- Simple duty / limited budget → Series 1 fixed installation
