1. Step 1: confirm the robot information

Record brand, series, full model, version, payload, reach, mounting orientation, controller and the actual workstation. Within the same series, different models can still have different J3/J4 axis interfaces and motion ranges.

2. Step 2: confirm the mounting interface

Check the base or J3/J4 axis bore positions, flange, brackets, bolt specification, permitted additional load and CAD revision. ABB, FANUC, KUKA and YASKAWA mount differently — always work from the robot manufacturer's own drawings.

3. Step 3: confirm the cable and hose list

List the model, outer diameter, quantity and minimum bend radius of power cables, encoder cables, communication cables, welding control cables, air lines, water lines and stud-feed tubes. Where power and signal lines need separate chambers, state this in the proposal.

4. Step 4: confirm the motion envelope and interference points

Check the full motion range in normal production, extreme poses, maintenance poses and tool changes, and confirm that the dresspack is not pulled, pinched, or interfering with fixtures and fencing.

5. Step 5: confirm working conditions and materials

Record temperature, weld spatter, oil, dust, coolant and flexing/torsion frequency, then select structure, bore, mounting brackets and sheathing. A material name cannot replace an assessment of the working conditions.

6. Step 6: BOM, trial fit and acceptance

Issue the dedicated part number, 3D model, BOM and installation drawings, and complete a specimen or single-station trial fit before volume replication. Acceptance records the full-motion run, interference, fastening torque, protection and spare-part status.

Under T/QGCML 3327-2024, standard companion parts include 48/70 anti-collision balls, mounting brackets, fixing inner clamps, double-end bell mouths, spherical sleeves, sliding inner clamps, splitters, telescopic brackets, external springs, spring barrels, tennis-racket plates, connecting blocks and PA12 conduit. The 48 external spring has an example stroke of 400 mm and the 70 spring barrel 350 mm; these are standard-part baseline parameters and the actual combination is governed by the dedicated BOM.
