Series 48 Medium Dresspack: How a Dedicated Part Number Is Determined

Summary: From model, interface, cables, motion and working conditions to trial fit — how a dedicated part number for a Series 48 medium dresspack is formed.

Series 48 Medium Dresspack: How a Dedicated Part Number Is Determined

1. Why there is no truly universal part number

Series 48 describes the conduit bore system; it does not mean every robot shares the same brackets, mounts and cable routing. Different brands and models have different mounting interfaces and motion envelopes, so the part number must be tied to the robot model.

2. Confirm the robot model and mounting position first

Taking KUKA KR210 R2700-2 as an example, it can map to TNJ02-4117P019-048-KR210-R2700-2; ABB IRB2600-1301 has JSGAM48-ABB IRB2600-1301; YASKAWA GP50 has TD902-2117P016-048-GP50. The actual model is still governed by the formal BOM. Example baseline parameters for Series 48 standard companion parts: mounting bracket 30 mm / M6 screws, fixing inner clamp 50 mm, double-end bell mouth 61 mm, spherical sleeve 80/103 mm, sliding inner clamp 78 mm, splitter 53/35/47 mm, telescopic bracket 385/652/252/86 mm, external spring 650/120/110 mm with a 400 mm stroke, and PA12 conduit with a 48 mm bore. The dimensions come from the baseline parameters of T/QGCML 3327-2024; the actual combination is governed by the part-number BOM.

3. Then confirm cables and motion

The quantity and outer diameter of power lines, signal lines, air lines and water lines affect the splitter and the fixing method. J3/J4 axis stroke, rotation angle and maintenance space determine the spring, bracket and conduit routing.

4. Finally confirm material and working conditions

Temperature, weld spatter, oil, dust and flexing/torsion frequency determine the sheathing solution. In our own testing, no abnormality was found after 5 million flexing cycles, while the torsion specimen showed whitening at the mid-section, with no fracture recorded. Test methods reference GB/T 37220-2018, and complete-assembly life still has to be verified against the specific configuration.

5. Delivery starts only after the part number is confirmed

Once the part number is confirmed, the 3D model, BOM, installation drawings and trial-fit requirements are issued. Later spares, repairs and line expansion all trace back through that part number.
